Walter Gastaldo studied art at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He later worked as an illustrator in New York before settling in Puerto Rico during the 1970s, where he developed a distinguished career in advertising and illustration. His professional experience includes work with J. Walter Thompson, the newspaper El Nuevo Día, and children’s books published by Editorial Alfaguara. Gastaldo subsequently devoted himself to watercolor painting, exploring the medium’s distinctive luminosity, transparency, and spontaneity.
